Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessments

Respecting people and places

Duty of Care Assessments are important where Indigenous heritage is known or is suspected to occur in the landscape and are undertaken wherever proposed works potentially impact Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage. The cultural heritage specialists at Redleaf are experienced in all aspects of completing these reports and have done so for numerous organisations and projects. This includes situations where cultural heritage is known on freehold land, even though it may not have been officially recorded. Duty of Care Assessments in Queensland are guided by gazetted guidelines, and may also be directed by Cultural Heritage Management Plans, Native Title Agreements, or other agreements with Traditional Owners.
