We help you navigate the process to make minor changes to heritage places while retaining their heritage significance, in line with current legislation. We have good working relationships with local and state departments to ensure practical solutions are found for each project. Exemption certificates are required for low impact developments, conservation works, or simple projects. These types of work are expected to only affect heritage values in a minor way (for example repainting a surface). Applications for these certificates must incorporate information such as a detailed description of the proposal; a description of how the development will change a place and/or affect or alter heritage features; and supporting information including, but not limited to, plans, reports and agreements pertaining to the heritage place. Exemption certificates may require compliance with policies and actions mandated in a Conservation Management Plan (CMP) or similar.
