Redleaf Environmental have successfully negotiated these complex agreements with various Traditional Owner parties, achieving the best result for the conservation of heritage and the desired outcomes for the project. Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs) are developed as an agreement between individuals or corporations and the Traditional Owners. A Cultural Heritage Management Agreement (CHMA) is usually created prior to a CHMP and details the procedures for enacting a CHMP. These agreements set out how land will be used to avoid and/or minimise harm to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Heritage.
