Cultural Mapping and Analysis

Bringing understanding to conserve values

Redleaf heritage officers are skilled in sensitivity mapping and analysis to help document and conserve our heritage values. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are often used to map elements of cultural heritage at Redleaf. These elements include those already recorded on databases as well as artefacts identified during surveys. It is also important to map significant landscape features where significant artefacts or remnants may be located. These maps are created to be easily read and client-friendly, ensuring the best possible heritage management for each project. All Redleaf staff are trained in the use of GIS software.
